Israel had intensive contacts with Iran during the Iran-Iraq war, even after the Islamic regime had been already esatblished, despite of Iran's policy of non-recognizing the State of Israel and the breaking of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Israel is very much interested in breaking its dependence on Russian oil imports... Some learned observers (labeled conspiracy theorists by the jewish media) have claimed all along that Israel's influence on U.S. foreign policy, and the desire for cheaper oil, is what, in-part, motivated the war against Iraq...

Plans to build a pipeline to siphon oil from newly conquered Iraq to Israel are being discussed between Washington, Tel Aviv and potential future government figures in Baghdad.The plan envisages the reconstruction of an old pipeline, inactive since the end of the British mandate in Palestine in 1948, when the flow from Iraq’s northern oilfields to Palestine was re-directed to Syria.

Also in 2003, Arch-Zionist Benjamin Netanyahu told of the pipeline plans. Small wonder Israeli interests backed the Iraq war so strongly.

Haifa pipeline. H1 is also visible, partially obscured by the US official’s head.


One can draw a straight line from Kirkuk in Iraq through the three US bases, then through Jordan and finally to
the oil refineries and ports of Haifa Israel. This is in-fact the path of the old pipeline which was shut down in 1948.
