My grandfather's family is partly from Ukraine and Poland. They had heavy features and dark skin (olive), and black wavy hair. I am not sure if I am Roma or Tatar (Turkic). I know I'm definately not Jewish. They were Polish Catholic, and spoke Polish. They had Polish surnames, but one surname with 7 roots... Wielicki. 4 Polish, 2 Ukrainian, and 1 Tatar. My grandfather was 5'11/180cm, and looks like some of the Crimean Tatars, I have seen in photos. His parents had round faces, and his mother had an almost flat face, with her nose, as if it were pushed in (as my grandmother would say). Here is a photo of my grandfather;

I know that the high cheek bones are very common among Turkic peoples, and Baltids (Finno-Ugralics?). The dark skin is obviously a trait from the East, which I was told from a Polish genealogist. I know there is Slavic in their since 2 out of his 3 daughters had red hair.
I was also told by another person, that he looks liek a typical Pole (meaning has a mixed background). I have seen pictures of Crimean Tatars from the Steppes.. They look alot like him.. ![]() |

They never was PL-Lithuanian Tatars, only polonised by culture. Like jews, they cant be Poles, because they are jew (israeli whatever) and citzenship is not nationality. Regards! |
