It isn't. It's a masonic flag. The real Catalan flag is the Senyera flag which predates this new one.

Excuse me but you are wrong. I'm a Catalan and I know what I'm talking about. The video's flag isn't a Masonic one. It's the historical separatist Catalan flag as this one:



Usually is called "estelada" in Catalan (it means "flag with a star") and it was inspired in the Cuban separatist flag from the Spanish-Cuban/American War of 1898. It isn't a Masonic flag for sure.

The three blue stripes are the symbols of the original three provinces. The triangle is a masonic symbol, here signifying liberty, equality and fraternity. The red color is for the blood sacrificed by the Cuban patriots.

There is nothing strange with this if you take some time to analyze the origins of the Spanish-American War and to which "club" most its American (Hispano- and Anglo-) leaders belonged to. Incidentially, the same kind of club nearly all early Catalan separatist leaders of Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya did too.
