I watched it. Interesting, but not very convincing, because many people who still live in villages aren't part of any statistics.

That would be an assumption, as nothing was said on the methodology used to gather statistics. Effectively, most areas studied during the decades were mostly all villages. You certainly don't assume that the studies were exclusively carried out in urban areas do you?

No, but what I was trying to say is that probably only a part (possibly smaller) of villages were taken into consideration, the rest being unaccessible.

But you are right, this is just assumption of mine. Through years I became extremely cautious as to perspectives of forming general ideas and grand images of the world and drawing far-reaching conclusions thereof, merely on the basis of statistics. I tend to mistrust them somehow, although I don't say they are irrelevant and should be discarded entirely.
