Please search for more. In those galleries not all are Saamis or even Lapplanders, many are just fans of Saamis. I tried to handpick those who live in Lappland and follow Saami traditions.

I must say: rather good looking young individuals in general IMHO.

Overall they seems rather diverse but with a tendency for chubbyness (alpinism?).
I wonder, osteologically, what's the density of their bones.

Borealisaton. Supposedly a tendency or specialisation to protect against the Arctic weather through reduction and accumulation of fat. Would that be right?

If so, that would make Nordids and Northern Cromagnoids not as northern as usually assumed.

And it would make it a joke those who see some kind of aeternal snow weather as the ideal of the Nordic natural habitat.

After all, their habitat is the coastal areas temperated by the sea streams.

If I admit they are quite nice looking people, that won't mean I would start to be close friends with them, or breed with them (They are not a phenotypical match for me either).

Anyway it has nothing to do with their looks, but they also have different mentality because they live in the arctic zone. For millennia their mentality has adapted to the extreme changes of the light; Just imagine, for 3 months of the year the sun doesn't shine at all, all there is, is a dim light in the horizon for few hours a day, and then, as the opposite, 3 months a year when the sun is on the sky all the time. 6 months a year it's something in between. To stand this sort of light conditions without losing his/her mind, one has to be a little crazy

Cromagroids suit to the northern environmental conditions very well, but as for Nordids, it is a fact that they mostly live in much milder environment; the southern half of the Scandinavian peninsula has very mild winters and so has the coast of Norway and also coasts of Finland to some extent because of the Golf Stream. Inlands and in the northern half of the Scandinavian peninsula the density of Nordids is not as large, and Nordids more often has CM admix. Nordid body build, being lean with long limbs is not very well suitable for harsh environment. Today it's very different, modern advanced technology makes sure living is very comfortable year round.

Alpinids are rather slim from my own observation.
