Anyone familiar with CAD programs?
I've only been using a CAD program for a month or so, but I am already starting to thoroughly enjoy it. Does anyone here have experience with one, or is interesting in Engineering? We had to do a project in Drafting, so I chose to create a multiview drawing of a BF-109. I included a scan of my work so far, the first picture is the completed front view, and the second is the side view which I have started today.

That looks very good!
 With gCAD and a tiny bit of Pro-Engineer (which I'd like to have or otherwise use again). My expertise is mostly with non-CAD/CAM programs though.

Some years ago I did some stuff with rendering programs like truespace (this one is not known by many people), now I use 3dstudio...
But I don't use it regulary...I made an animation (exploding satellite), with an ancient 3dsmax. it was cool! I even added some souds to it (ok that was an mistake, in space there is no sound)  I don't know where those pics/movie are though...  maybe in some forgotten decaying cd!

I did a brief stint (~ a year) in a drawing office before moving to my current position.
Whilst there I learnt how to use AutoCAD and a bit of SolidWorks. Unfortunately it's evident that your picture has been removed - any chance you could put it back up? I'm interested to see...

BRL-CAD is open source and created by the U.S. military.
BRL-CAD Home Page QCad is what I personally use. It was entirely open source, but now it’s closed source. The community edition contains the source code. I use it free on my Linux system. QCad Screenshots
