I never knew how deplorable our actions were!

I will be stopping my subscriptions to magazines and papers,calling off Christmas(and all the presents i have got),Walking to work instead of travelling the 5 miles by bus,cancelling my Sky subscription,Toucan landline and internet connection.

I'm even thinking of moving out the family into a cardboard box and not washing.
All for the fear of being branded a consumerist demon who spares no thought to the poor and needy of the world.

I for one will be opening up a can of Guinness and then thinking about not wanting it and poring it down the sink,just to spite them

Global warming... my opinions on this have been stated before. It's a natural geologic process which has been accelerated by some human influence.

What exactly is it to "protect the poorest from global warming"? Who are the "poorest"?

My Celtic skin fears the sun.

Without lotion, it quickly becomes bright red and very sore. And then it falls off.

I need sun lotion and I'm not going to feel bad using it!

I can't believe someone could write something like that seriously.

What is the definition of the "adaptation to the global warming" (for which financial aid is being given) in the first place?

What does poor mean these days anyway? Most of Europe's inhabitants barely make their ends meet these days and great many are overdebted. But they live in - formally seen (according to GDPs and similar data) - some of the world richest countries.

Hyper-capitalism and consumerism ARE to be condemned, but for entirely different reasons than the ones adduced in this article.

I don't typically use lotions because I don't burn very badly.
But this summer it was different. I burned. bad. probably the worst in my life.
I had to sleep laying on a wet towel. it was terrible.
