Putin nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
Russian President Vladimir Putin has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. The International Center for Research on Biofuels and Patents in Zurich has chosen Putin for his alternative fuel initiatives in Russia.
The Swiss organisation says its main goal is to prevent future wars over oil.

The centre proposed Putin for his ideas on developing energies based on nanotechnology. It also praised the President for his efforts to reduce Russia's reliance on fossil fuels.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute, Geir Lundestad, said he has no information about the nomination.

He also added that the Swiss-based centre is not one the organisations entitled to nominate candidates for the Nobel Peace Price.

Taken that it even exists; there's suspiciously little information about it in the net. Also the news article seems to be floating mostly in some blogs and it's only source is Russia Today. The article could have been made up to control public opinion in Russia before elections.

Someone should do a documentary or write a book about that damned Nobel Prize Committee. People act like a Nobel Prize comes down from Mount Olympus or is given out by the Great Architect of the Universe or something. The fact that Al Gore won the last Peace Prize just makes me doubt it even more.

Calm down, people. He just got nominated. It means absolutely nothing. Anyone could get nominated, even Plethon, Loorberitega Pärjatu, Savorgnan, svin, Kalevi or Galaico or anyone else.

But the Nobel prize became worthless anyway. These Nobel prizes for peace are beyond contempt: they are usually being bestowed upon persons who pursue the globalist agenda in this or that variety. And the Nobel prizes for literature are given according to the ideological "purity" of the author. It was not always that way though. Once writers like Knut Hamsun used to get it and today some idiotic Austrian feminist "writer".

If Al Gore can win for being a hypocrite, making a movie in which he lies and exagerrates the effects of global warming, and when he can make suggeastions that could lead to more poverty, huge increases in food prizes and millions of more deaths. Then Putin should win the peace prize.

Plus. This is a nomination. Other former nominees include Saddam, ayatollah Khomeini, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Chairman Mao, Pinochet, etc... Georgre Bush has been nominated every year since 2001.
