Default Another question...

I'm currently reading a book about Germanic influence in France (a summary in French there) and the author explains that, since Germanic peoples were mostly Nordic and sub-Nordic, today's France is about 35% Germanic (and mostly Northern France) because 5% of Frenchmen are Nordic and 30% are sub-Nordic. One of his "evidences" is that Nordic and sub-Nordic types in France are mostly found in areas that were settled by the Franks, while other areas are mostly Alpine, with dinaric areas between them.

Is there some truth in it or is it totally deluded ? I mean, globally, what's the link between sub-racial types and ethnic ancestry ?

It seems he has an agenda though, since he tries to prove that all France's greatest men were Nordic and sub-Nordic, and therefore of Germanic extraction. Sounds well-known...

Thanks in advance.

Oliphanthead 's reputation has not travelled afar.
Default Re: Question : Link between Germanicness and (Sub-)Nordicness

He seems to be fairly common in his views, though perhaps with a little bit more of the adolescent striving typical of affected Nordicists.

In all likelihood, the Cro-Magnid races lie at the roots of the ultimately Paleolithic Germanic culture, leaving the rest, be they Nordid or Dinarid (Taurid) or Alpinid, to be the founders of the various Neolithic cultures.

The Nordids only relatively recently became a part of the Germanic World, perhaps being the agents of its Neolithicisation.

So our silly, striving friend may have it somewhat backwards
