My boyfriend taught me. But I'm useless. He always wins when we practise (with wooden swords, obviously!). Or I accidentally hit him in the crotch and he bends over in pain.

Anyway, why Axis is only Nazi Germany?
Italian troops did the best it could be done, with their pathetic equipment and stupid commanders. Just some example:
At the War Museum of Moskva, there are no Italian flags;
Our Alpini are the only troops declared "Invict on Russian soil" by the very Russian Army Command;
We wrote pages of glory in Africa (just think to El Alamein, Cheren, Gondar);
Our MAS made more than a glorious raid in British ports;Our "Savoia" Cavalry Rgt. protagonist of the last (victorious) cavalry charge at Isbucenskij (24th August 1942);
If American, Russian and Germans had had our obsolete weapons (e.g. the legendary musquet of 1891), would have fallen after two months.

My GrandUncle also fought in WWII. He was in the Bridge-Engineer in Yugoslavia, but was the chauffeur of a general, then he was interned by Germans after 8th September 1943. At last he was freed by Russians, but he died of disease in a Russian camp near Rostov (infamous Soviets!!! ).

the accomplishments of the Italian troops always goes ignored. Let's not forget that Rommel's troops were almost completely and exclusively Italian colonial soldiers. I think it was Rommel who said he had never seen such bravery in the battlefield. Most people don't even know Italy was part of the axis.
I think in a way the Italian army was obsolete due to Hitler's megalomania. When Hitler shared plans with Mussolini, Mussolini told him he could have an army fully ready by 1941, by fully ready that means good armored divisions,mass productions of weapons,etc. Of course we all know what happened..

Don't worry, it is just a political action. One of my grandfathers was to be executed by the SS, then he was able to convince them he wasn't a commie partisan. But he went very close to be a name on that disgusting soviet style "resistance" movements that are filling italian squares. Well, would play the Axis nonetheless.
