A real-time-strategy set in the period of early America. Experience the fascinating story of the settlement of the New World. Decide the fate of six different nations including the Spanish, North American Indians, English, Patriots and Settlers through 300 years of American history as you struggle for freedom and justice. Three campaigns allow you to experience the history surrounding the settlement of America.
No Man's Land is a typical RTS with 3D landscapes in which you control your units with your mouse. Collect resources to build structures and develop a fully functioning civilization. You can shape the struggle between different nations by taking control of various individual heroes and their respective armies. Play single player campaigns or single battles on randomly generated maps. Special features of No Man's Land include Heroes that play a key role in the story, Elite units with numerous special skills, exciting land and naval battles, progress in technology from canoes to frigates and stage coaches to steam trains. Play multiplayer in a local network in several modes including death match, king of the hill and a exciting new railroad building race. Some multiplayer special features include counter upgrades used as unconventional weapons like plague, chastity belt and termites to bounty hunters used to eliminate enemy elite units. The bounty hunters can be diverted by outbidding your opponent. Some screenshots: ![]() Cutscene: Drake is not happy. Yes, it's sad and at the same time true that game developers can't be totally rigorous with their creations, they prefer to give the false idea that all countries had always the same flag so they can make buyers feel more "relationed" with the game than to be applauded by people with basic knowledge in history. But well, "common gamer" doesn't need either to know that Spain used the Burgundy Cross as a national war standard since 1506 and that it was the most commonly used in XVI and XVII centuries. The vast majority of players just want to "kill the time" and won't even pay attetion to the flags every nation uses.

That game sucks. I bought it, installed it, played around 40 minutes, unninstalled, never played again.
The list is long but here are some issues: - Bad AI. I can't even start to say how bad the AI is. Strategy is not a word the programmers had in mind - Bad Mapping. Maps are boring and unimaginative. - Control: though being roughly a standard gather-resources-make-units-attack game the controls are severely messed up. It seems their aim was to make the gaming experience harder. The list could go on and on and on....
