Is anyone interested on strategy games? not necesarily computer-based, but board game as well. I use to play the computer ones frequently..Age of Empires,Age of Mythology,Empire Earth,Rise of nations,Total war series,Europa Universalis II,Hearts of Iron, etc and I also play some of the board games like Axis vs Allies.

I have played those except for Civilization III,The Dune and Shogun total war. Rise of Nations is probably my favorite, I have made a lot of maps and mods for it. The Total War Series are really good, there is a new expansion for Rome Total War based on Alexanders the great.
You should try to play Europa Universalis II or Hearts of Iron or Victoria. They are like total war, minus you fighting the battles. they are the most historically accurate games I have seen, and it actualyl feels like you are running your own country since you get to pick the government officials and set the laws.

In my hardcore gaming days (ie, when I had no Internet
) I played mostly Command & Conquer, C&C Red Alert, Commandos, Warcraft 1 and 2, Worms II, Armageddon & World Party, Heroes of Might and Magic II & III and some lesser known titles like Incubation and a few others.Lately I have just played Europa Universalis II, American Conquest, Celtic Kings and Warcraft 2 (in its Battle.net edition), and I'm planning to do the same with Shadows of War, which will be released this month, and Rome Total War (are you reading this, Strenghtandhonour? ).

About time you started playing Rome Total War, a few years late though
If you have EU II installed, ill get mine running. Maybe we can start a game of EU II together and show the world how tragic life can be when people like you and I rule world powers ![]()

It's been quite a long time since I stopped playing videogames, heavy hangovers don't help to play videogames on weekends
.I remember I liked Warcraft II, Starcraft, Civilization I & II, and Caesar III (a Roman times Simcity). As for board games I loved, and still do, Risk. As for card games, I like Mus, Spain's national sport. And of course it is a strategy game . |

Caesar is a lot of fun, never played the third one tho. I use to play mus when I was younger with some of my friends, its a great game. I kind of miss it.

You know, I never played that before but it looks like a space version of Civilization.

So, who wants a game of online Starcraft? Meds vs. Nordics! Or Alpinids against everyone else!

If you want a decent competition, we can always try Warcraft II, the one I played the most. ![]()
