Default Fashion in Europe

Out of curiousity: What are the typical fashion trends in your region, or throughout Europe? What labels are the most popular? What kind of demographic tends to wear the various styles?

I take it that you don't mean drinking fashion labels?

If you are asking about dressing fashionable labels, I'm afraid that they won't be much different in Europe and the States. Globalisation and the such.. you know.

Yep, Whigger style and such. I remember when it began to be popular in the mid 90's, some friends of mine changed their style from jeans to baggies...

Also Metrosexuals are common among guys; as for girls, their way to dress is less and less feminine and sometimes androgynous. There are plenty of other styles, maybe specific to my country...

I heared the other day on the radio about a new fashion which opposed the metrosexual one. I forgot the name, but it went into the direction of the real man.

Fashion is for gays. When people wears something just because it's trendy and popular thats' ridiculous. I hate this Narcissic attitude.

All very true. I was curious as to how Europeans were dressing as a whole. I have seen a lot of "ghetto" clothing, and that seems to be very popular in region. I don't think it is for the same reasons as Europe, since here, it is more to justify the individual poverty.

Agreed to a point. I.e. the point where one follows one particular fashion trend or another. Still, there is nothing wrong with observing a few rules of style.

Personally, my dressing habits vary from classic to casual. For the former, clothes last me for seasons.. actually years, since they are not fashion and therefore they are never out of fashion. For the latter, I look forward to clothing which will serve me in sailing too.

In short, chino trousers, trousers with many pockets, polo and rugby shirts, deck shoes, etc.
