Cool Rise of Nations: Thrones and Patriots

Does anybody else here plays this game?
Is so amazing!! No offense, but it kicks Age of Empires II's arse... (or any other game for that matter).

Here's the official site:

I played Rise of Nations, and I think it sucks. Not because it really sucks, but because this game and every other game that has come out ever since AOE, hasn't done anything but change some graphics and a bit of the gameplay.

Nothing new.

Well yes, you've got a good point there. But can you play AOE again after playing RON? I don't think so...

amazing game. I haven't played in a long time because I got bored of playing so much and I moved on to other games, but it's a fantastic game. There is just so many civilizations to try and the campaigns and it's all amazing. The online play is also fantastic.

I used to play, but I took Windows off that machine.

My friend would play against me occasionally, and sometimes we would get more people in.

I never lost against him though.

I made a few custom maps and skinned a few times. If anyone wants any of my stuff let me know, it's up online for download. I made maps of:

-The siege of Vienna(actually looked at a map of the siege of Vienna, completely historically accurate deployed units)
-The reconquista. Comes with a custom made unit of Spanish crusader.
-Italy in the 1490's. Goes up to the unification of Italy.

If the comparison is between AoE and Rise of Nations, well, Rise of Nations beats thecrap out of AoE, mainly because:

1 - AoE is extremely buggy
2 - Game enhancement seems to have stopped two sequels ago
3 - Rise of Nations can be played fast and slow, it's up to you, AoE is played always as a "rush" game
4 - Units in AoE seem all equal. Yes, Rise of Nations doesn't improve much in that area but at least they came up with some nifty unique units.

OK people, quit playing both and do it like me, go play Battlefield 2.
