Yugoslav communists deemed they have a lot of "internal enemies". The persecution continued up until mid-1950s. There is estimated number of at least 150-180 thousands executed of whom mostly were Croats. At least half of that number also immigrated, again mostly Croats.
I had memebers of my family missing since 1945 too.
