BELGRADE -- Friday – The deputy leader of Vojislav Seselj’s Radical Party of Serbia said today that Serbia will go to war over Kosovo.

Asked whether he expected negotiations on the province’s final status to begin in 2005, Tomislav Nikolic said that he thinks that Serbia will go to war to defend Kosovo.

Nikolic said that he believes the beginning of the year will be extremely difficult and the country will be put to great tests, because of which a broad consensus of all who live in Serbia is needed.

Radical leader Seselj is in prison in The Hague awaiting trial on war crime charges.

Nobody wants to go to war over Kosovo anymore, thus nobody
will vote for a party which carries that option.

Uh sure, but go to war against who? definitely not Nato and Kosovo's ethnic Albanians don't even have an army and the KLA is now defunct.

It's a seriously idiotic proposal. If any army in the world wanted, they could step over Albanians without any big problem. On the other hand, the NATO which backs the Albanians is invincible. So, it's not even a real proposal.

The only way to win Kosovo over again is through superior networking of Serbs, throwing lots of money at the problem... the same way Albanians became a majority there, by buying off land.

If the Albanians spent the ammount of money they used to buy-off Kosovo on technological advancement or culture, or whatever similar progressive project, by today they'd be advanced like Japan... but they decided to throw the money at getting a basically worthless piece of land ... tragic....

Well the only other thing that can beat NATO is Russia with an Charistaristic and Nationalistic leader. Someone who will take off his shoe and start banging it against the table screaming "We will Nuke you back to stoneage" or "History is on our side we will bury you".

Then i don't think they would dare to step in again. So Serbia will be able to take whats righfully theirs back without much trouble.

Stvarna ruska politika nije ni približno toliko bliska Srbima koliko bi to Srbi voljeli da bude. Istina, postoje konzervativni pravoslavni krugovi koji gaje jake simpatije prema Srbima no te skupine nemaju jak utjecaj na rusku državnu politiku. Kosovo je srpsko i moramo učiniti sve što je u našoj moći da ga očuvamo unutar granica Srbije. Ne smemo organizovati povratak još uvek jer je situacija dole prilično tesna. Prokleti Albanci žele da promene istoriju i da uzmu nešto što nije njihovo, a pomažu im čelni ljudi iz EU, UN, NATO i sl. SRS je, ja mislim, jedina stranka koja u ovom trenutku može da priča o Kosovu, ratu i Srbima a da im se pritom ne ruši reputacija. SRS je, inače, jedina hardcore nacionalistička stranka u Srbiji. Zaprepašćen sam što vi iz Hrvatske podržavate Albance i njihove zločine... Oni su obična muslimanska go*na..

Ground war with Russia nearly happened in 1999 when NATO Supreme Commander Wesley Clark ordered General Michael Jackson to take an airstrip at Pristina, Kosovo using British heliborne troops, paratroopers, and SAS to go in by helicopter and basically play king of the mountain, thankfully Jackson ignored the order stating "I'm not going to be responsible for starting World War Three".

So their nearly was a larger war but it was a Brit who defied his superior which prevented it .
