The map isn't correct.
Banat region is Vojvodina is represented as mixed Serb-Magyar region, while only North Backa is such. According to 2002 Census, there is about 71% Serbs and 17% Magyars in Banat. The rest mainly goes to Slovaks and Romanians. |

How can areas with an absolute ethnic majority be presented as "mixed"? |

17% isn't "substantial". But there is a "substantial" number of Serbs in Bosnian Krajina around Drvar of only more than 50% that isn't marked.
BTW, here's a real ethnic map of Vojvodina that is "up to date": ![]() Divided into municipalities. The municipalities are border with full lines if there is an absolute majority of one ethnic group, and with dots if there isn't. Legend: WHITE - Serbs DOTS - Magyars HORIZONTAL LINES - Slovaks The only municipality with Hungarian majority is the small municipality of Choka at the utmost North of Banat, with cca. 7,000 Magyars and 5,000 Serbs. |

Damn, no wonder there is such nitpicking in that region, it seems like every other town is either ethnically A or B or C... I won't even bother asking if you guys get along nice....

Banat I already told you so I don't know if you are blind, playing dumb or whatever other problem you have. The map I posted shows overlap of Hungarian ethnic teritory with Serb ethnic teritory. It doesn't shows areas with absolute majority. Can you understand that?
Anyway the map you posted and the map I posted clearly overlap with each other. Edit: better and more detailed ethnic map of Vojvodina http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ethnic2002.jpg Last edited by Zrinski; Tuesday, April 25th, 2006 at 12:38. |
