As for the Americans, since there are around 300 millions of them, you can't go wrong there.

Actually, there 127 million of Japanese so they are also a good market. I think I should go to some marketing school.

Croatia has huge potential for becoming also a prime skiing resort. Dinaric Alps are not much different than any other mountain Pandur

The only drawback is that we don't have absolutly no infrastructure there since as said these mountains are the poorest regions in whole country.

What do you think of that?
They say it takes a whole pig to extract the best quality meat to make one single Kulen de luxe. Kulen production, much like Swiss cheese production is a whole science. You cannot make it industrially because it wont have the right aroma, and it wont be it.

I would'nt go too far with the prices, in order to sell more of it.

If we wish the elite tourism we can't have low prices. We have to go elite with the prices in order to get the elite clients. Get it?

Watch and learn, kids. http://www.dedemanpalandoken.net/introduction.htm

Seriously though, Erzurum was a quite similar area to the areas you're talking about but the ski resort totally (and rapidly) changed the area's economy. It is now the biggest ski resort in the country and the most popular one amongst foreign trourists. Those from Istanbul and Izmir still prefer the smaller ones because they're much more closer; but Palandoken is now a major tourist spot. Skiing makes a lot of money, I'd say go for it.

Yeah, because for some universal reason when people see affordable prices they automatically think "cheap", whereas if you make everyhing outrageously expensive it would, somehow, scream sophisticated to their unconscious. Put a kitsch, pink leather bag in a K-Mart shop window, and put the same leather bag in a Chanel window and the people who see it at K-Mart would think it's cheap and tacky whereas the ones who saw it over at Chanel would think it's the latest fashion and give it thousands of dollars. Probably even if they were the same people who saw the very same bag. Your job, Jim, is to make Croatia the next Chanel. They even start with a C, both of them.

We do not have the snow that long to have ski resorts.

In the Middle Ages it was. But now, all these fertile land is good for nothing! After Communism destroyed the class of rich peasant, the modern neo-capitalist import lobby destroyed the rest of it. Today we are importing more food from outside then we are producing it.
Its mad, but its true. Farmer products are too cheep to be profitable, only because a minority of the corrupted politicians are making money out of import.
Theoretically in the event od sanctions, Croatia would literally starve within 6 months.
I hear Serbia had much better policy concerning the stimulation of agriculture, because Milosevic prepared him self well to endure sanctions?

I think the tourists would be willing to spend more money, but only for the greater quality and quantity. The prices are allready relativelly high, but the offer is so-so.

To make a good Kulen salame you must put the best meat in it. Also Paprika quality is also essential. The same goes for salt. This goes not only for quality but for quantity of different types of paprika as well. After it's been stuffed all goes to be smoked and a bit freezed.

My old man brought home few yesterday, we always make our own Kulen and sausages....after all we are Sokci.
My grandfather(mother's father) used to organize massive "kolinje" where almost whole family on my mothers side would gather and make kulen, sausages, krvavica, etc...all the kids would gather as well and we would go crazy and stuff.
But as the war came and my granfolks had to leave their home we don't do that anymore....even as they are now back....everyone is now making it on their own....real shame...

Slavonian sausages are also intersting. They are not sausages as in typical german sausage but it is also made in similar way as Kulen but a lot thiner and with lower meat quality and different quantities of paprika and other ingridients. It also needs to be smoked and it tastes great. Same goes for our beacon.

Someone would consider this rather "heavy food" but someone who was almost raised on this as me this comes as a desert almost. Our Beacon is great...especially in summer when you slice it nicely with nice red tomatoes and if posibble nice slice of cheese(posibbly Gouda or Trapista...or any similar home made cheese)....mmmm....the very thought makes me drool.
