Budva Home to 200 Millionaires
24 Sata Some 200 millionaires live in the Montenegrin coastal resort of Budva. Compared to the number of inhabitants there, one in fifty Budva residents is a euro or a dollar millionaire. Landowners, mostly locals, have managed to sell their property in the past few years for sums in excess of several million euros. Square meter of land reaches a price of EUR 1,000, while the money thus obtained ends up invested in the Montenegrin capital Podgorica, or in exclusive real estate in Belgrade.
