The people are great - the politics stinks.
The politics is like a great football game. Who ever has the ball gets to kick it around.

I get along well with
Croations
Macedonians
Czechs
Slovaks
Byelorusyns
Slovenians

Sometimes have issues with
Poles, Russians, Bulgarians and Serbians.

Most of the agrevation comes from political concepts that have an imperialistic overtone.

I know a couple of the languages well. The ret I can read and understand.

On a personal level, mostly great experiences.

I have yet to meet a Sorb.

Harsh histories, similar political environments (especially recently), similar culture and language, give all Slavs a special connection.

Hey!

I meant Sorbs, the Lusatian ones.

As for Balkanoid Serbs, yeah I've met a few. Nice people.

I like them all. Slavic people are honest and hard workers. Some are good scientists. I would be pleased to exchange a Slav immigrant for what we are getting in the USA today. Oh yea, send more female Russian tennis players!!!

Nothing special really, personally I don't have problems with any nationality, but with certain people from a nationality.Millions of people can not be held responsible for the acts of one or a group of people. For example some hate the Russians and blame them for the USSR etc.Doesn't sound logical to me, it's the same as the Holocaust issues.Furthermore I've had a great time in every Slavic country I have visited

Now this brings to me confusing memories of two women that I met in August in the Gran Canaria Island.. must be a disease!

(@Dana: it's an internal joke for staff members. And no, the women were not Slavic).

Someone has requested a Russian tennis-player.

Well, I can offer a substitute - a Polish one (and a friend of mine).
