Default AW: What's about there?

I have been teaching myself Swedish for some time. I find there are more resources available to Swedish-learners. I have several books on the language and I am getting rather confident in my abilities. The only thing I really struggle with is pronouciation and remembering vocabulary and remembering if which nouns are "en" and which are "ett". Other than that I find Swedish easier than other languages I've been taught and or tried to learn myself. It is rather easy for me, being a german, because the language shares much in common. They use all the letters german does with the exception of the skandinavian Å, and the German ß, and of course a Å = AA and ß = SS. Then the vocabulary is similar, here are three examples:

German:

Schönheit (beauty)
Freiheit (freedom)
Ewigkeit (eternity)

Swedish:

Skönhet (beauty)
Frihet (freedom)
Evighet (eternity)

As you can see they are similar in vocabulary, so it is easy for a person who's mother tounge is a Germanic language. I also find that it is the most easy of all other Skandinavian languages, and from Swedish one can branch out to the other Nordic languages, using what you learned from Swedish as a spring-board. I also like Swedish Nationalist Music, so I have something to listen to in their language so I can hear them sing and follow along in lyrics, etc. That helps.

I've got a great book. If you are serious about learning a language (Norwegian, Swedish or whatever), you must get a book like I have which outlines the essentials to grasping the grammar. It teachers all the beginner needs to know about the grammar (in my case Swedish) and it is a great book. I have gotten "Teach yourself Swedish" books which are just some tourist guide books that teach you stuff you need to get through customs, airport, hotel, and so on. The Grammar book, teaches what one needs to form sentences and speak with confidence and communication on an intellectual level, instead of just know how to ask where the bathroom is.
The book I got is called:
Swedish: Essentials to Grammar
A practical guide to the mastery of Swedish
By: Åke Viberg, Kerstin Ballardini, and Sune Stjärnlöf

Get it from Amazon, I know they have it, that is if you decide to learn swedish.

Yet you have waited long to post here. Why so? Please make conversation and have this placed filled with Nordic language. I will contribute that which I can, but it will be limited because I am a learner and lover of Swedish and other Skandinavian languages.

They are differences in vocabulary, spelling, some grammar (i think), pronounciation, and the simple alphabet differences (norwegian and danish use Ø, where swedish use Ö, Icelandic uses different letters like Ð,Þ,Á,Ó,Í), etc.
Davs. Jeg haaber alt er godt med jer, mine europaeiske venner. Og din svensk er sgu meget god, Timo

(Hello. I hope all is well with you, my European friends. Your Swedish is very good, Timo)

Just thought we needed some Danish as well (even though my Danish is a bit rusty)

Den store forskel mellen Dansk og Svensk/Norsk, er at Svensk og Norsk skriver man som det lyder, mens Dansk udtale er mere forskellig fra hvordan man skriver den, og maaske ogsaa mere gammel/arkaisk.

(the big difference between danish and swedish/norwegian, is that Swedish and Norwegian are spelled the way it sounds, while the Danish spelling si probably more archaic)

Ursäkta att jag inte svarat på denna tråd, hade inte uppmärksammat att den hade uppdaterats.

Jag var på den demonstration tillika lite festivalaktiga tillställning som följde den 6/6. Det var mycket lyckat och samlade runt 900 personer.
