Poll: Americans embarrassed by military's gay ban

Barring out gay men and lesbians from serving in the armed forces makes more people embarrassed by the military than proud of it, according to a new University of California poll. According to the poll, 24.2% of respondents said that the policy makes them embarrassed by the military, while 17.5% said that the policy makes them proud. Fifty-six percent said the policy has no impact on their feelings about the military.

Kind of funny. Last night I had an arguement with someone about how Americans dont like gays in general and are against them in all ways. But I guess this sheds some light for my side of the arguement.

In business I came across all types, nationalities, races, and sexual preferences of people. I have some strong prejudices which are based on emperical outcome. In other words, I had to go where the money was. Homosexuals are among these that I have little respect for. Regardless if they are male or female, they seem to base human relationships on their ability or inability to get their own way. (there are other goups of these besides homosexuals, though). Mainly, homosexuals are unreliable. They cannot be counted upon to fulfill their obligations nor can they be taken at their word. Sorry folks, but his is the unvarnished truth.

I do not want to fund any army using homosexuals for these reasons.
