How many children do you have/or do you think you will have?

If you do not have children yet, or still think you will have more, please try to give a realistic estimation of how many children you think you are most likely to have in your life, based on your personal circumstances and finances.

This is not a "if-I-would-be-a-billionaire-and-would-find-a-broodmare-then-I-would-have-15-kids"-poll. What interests me is how many children you realistically will have. If you are, for example, married already or have a partner for life, and your partner does not want any more children, then you should take that into account. The same applies if you would like to have five children, but don't think you will be able to afford them, or if you are not willing to make the necessary sacrifices, or if there are medical reasons that speak against the scenario.

The question is "How many children will you most likely have in your life?" and not "How many children would you like to have?" or "How many children would you have, if you were a Divine Emperor with 2,000 slaves?"

Four. We are already working on the names, subsequently after marriage we'll work on the children. LOL

I want quite a few children, as much as my finances permit. I am not someone that needs to live in luxury, nor do I want spoiled children.

In my house are two brothers (my sister and me) and I always missed another brother. In Spain is difficult to feed more than 3 children, after Franco's dead all the aids to the family were suppressed. Most of the Spanish families have 1 children. Even so, the families of the Opus Dei that I know usually have between 8 and 12 children, and they are far to be rich. I really admire them, not only because of have a lot of children, they also achieve give them a good education, something really difficult in a numerous family.

Hard to decide. I'd check none but I don't know if that would be realistic. Now I think it's okay to be childless but I don't know how I'd feel, say, 5 years from now. I was an only child and it was kind of boring even though, statistically, only children have higher IQs. () No seriously, it's because they interact with grown ups, rather than their siblings, nothing special there. So, if I had children I think I'd go for two and certainly not more. Even one, maybe. Ah, whatever. It's not like it's totally up to me either, what if the guy I marry wants five children? Hope not. I don't even have enough time left to make five children anyway so I guess I'm safe.

Oh, and, in the case of two, either a boy and a girl or two boys. My family name is dying out with me (only child of an only child), I wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else, much less my own.

I don't currently have any children and cannot say for sure how many I will have once I get married. I hope to have atleast 4, but no more than 6. I would prefer the majority being boys, as I find them to be 'easier' in a lot of ways, but it would be nice to have a girl or two. The mother-daughter bond, if properly established and nurtured, is something that I look forward to having. In any case though, children are a definite part of my future plans and I could never imagine not entering into motherhood.

I'd like having 3 sons. THREE, is the perfect number...... and not only for a cabalistic reason of course . Three, is not too much for my future (hypotetical) economic resources, neither for my time availability. Besides is a good number for actual natality standards. Two boys and a girl would be the better combination.

Realisticly, i think it's pretty soon for me to make a good prediction about that "chapter" of my life. And if it's not soon, i don't even have a partner. The only certain thing about my life, is that in the next 4 or 5 years i'll be (already am) studying my brains out at the University. As for the rest, only God knows what will happen in my life in those years to come...

When i'll find my significant other, i would like to leave this city and move to a much smaller and quiet place, and eventually raise a family there. Considering that ideal situation, i would want to have as many children as we can. I really like kids and sometimes i miss the fact that i'm not one anymore (seriously though).

I'd like to have 3 or 4. It's very possible. I want a large Italian family. Motherhood appeals to me very much. I have very strong maternal instincts.
