I did not imply that it was self-understood that such trends would continue forever. I just pointed at one trend observable in current societies. There was nothing especially optimistic or pessimistic in itself with that comment. You have Lumpenproletariat so-called intelligentsia, you have "antifascists" which are being recruited from the underworld of the urban Lumpenproletariat, youth-groupings of system parties, NGOs, entertainers, sluts, activists for "gay rights" etc etc.

However, I do see the opposite, positive examples as well: of people not ending up as LP. But there is a large trend for LP, even officially encouraged. It does not mean it is predestined to last forever though.

This is not far from the truth, but there is a positive trend in our demographics. Even though we're still losing population, the decline is getting lesser with each passing year.

Agreed, such attitude often tends to be counterproductive. But there is a difference between a pessimist and a realist. Personally, I tend to look at the glass of water as half full.

Right now I have been doing my father's family genealogy and I see that in the 1700's and 1600's they had 4-10 kids.

I'm very proud in that fact and want to model my family after that big traditional family.

They don't call it Lumpenproletariat anymore. That sounds way too Marxist. The new, slightly euphemistic term they use is Prekariat (precariate) which has the special bonus of including academicians and highly qualified, but older than 40, members of the workforce who happened to have lost their jobs due to globalization and youth mania, as well.
