Father's Day cards banned in Scottish schools

Thousands of primary pupils were prevented from making Father's Day cards at school for fear of embarrassing classmates who live with single mothers and lesbians.

The politically correct policy was quietly adopted at schools "in the interests of sensitivity" over the growing number of lone-parent and same-sex households.

It is ridiculous, but putting aside the lesbian bit, in todays world I do kind of understand where they're coming from seeing as how many kids grow up without fathers. Its a sad, sad situation.

How about a dear sperm donor card for those who don't have active fathers. Many divorced families still stay in contact and the children see their fathers for Father's Day. They are referring to absentee dads for whatever reason and it's not the same as not having your father in your main residence.

That is depriving children of divorce of a way to stay connected with their fathers.
