On a clarification note, Skadi is not Frey's and Freyja's mother. Skadi is a beautiful frost giantess whose father happened to be killed following the kidnapping of Idunn (by the aforementioned father, Tjassi). She was enraged and went to the gods to murder them all (or some sort of revenge plan). Loki, slyly, told her that she could marry any of the male gods, but only by looking at their feet. So they were lined up and everything but their feet was covered. So she picked the most beautiful looking feet, thinking it was Baldr (the most beautiful of the gods), but she ended up with Njord, the sea god. And they weren't very happy together. And I'm quite sure they didn't have any children either.

Frey and Freyja are the children of the union of Njord and his sister, not Njord and Skadi.

The linguistic part of this dispute is not important, but it is important to make a difference between Lutherans and American Evangelicals. Lutherans are European and they retained Christian spirit in them. The same goes for, say, Hungarian and Slovak Calvinists...while the American Evangelicals have nothing to do with Europe and European culture and traditions and are alien to Europe as much as Islam and Judaism are.

Don't worry, since my childhood, I have a small Athena bust my father brought me from a trip to Greece, and I loved so much the Hellenic mythology, that Athena became the destination of some of the most interesting philosophycal talks I've had with myself. And no, I'm not insane .

Why don't you open a thread on the Religion & Theology forum to try to explain it?

I have the feeling that a very few people understand it more like a philosophy of life which it is probably not intended to crash with any religious belief and that it might even be compatible to a certain extent.

I wouldn’t tolerate the Russian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church for their disgusting habit to collaborate with our foes. Their activity on the territory of Belarus should be officially forbidden.

Orthodox Christians should belong to the Belarusian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, and for all Catholic Christians the Belarusian Greek-Catholic Church is more than enough (the difference between the Roman and Greek Churches is not significant, so this would be more a symbolic act).

By the way, Greek-Catholic priests are allowed to get married and to have children. As many as they want.
