Evangelics, not Evangelicals.

Angliško Evangeliclas lahko bi v slovenščini bilo Evagelikalci, kaj ni tako? Translation: "But you said Evangeličani. This word is closer to the English word Evangelics, than to the word Evangelicals. The translation of the English word Evangelicals into Slovenian would be rather Evangelikalci, isn't that so. Please, use the English language in the general forums or at least provide a translation.

![]() On a clarification note, Skadi is not Frey's and Freyja's mother. Skadi is a beautiful frost giantess whose father happened to be killed following the kidnapping of Idunn (by the aforementioned father, Tjassi). She was enraged and went to the gods to murder them all (or some sort of revenge plan). Loki, slyly, told her that she could marry any of the male gods, but only by looking at their feet. So they were lined up and everything but their feet was covered. So she picked the most beautiful looking feet, thinking it was Baldr (the most beautiful of the gods), but she ended up with Njord, the sea god. And they weren't very happy together. And I'm quite sure they didn't have any children either. Frey and Freyja are the children of the union of Njord and his sister, not Njord and Skadi.

Anyway, it's not that important.

"The two-party-system and the artificial division between left and right is especially malign because it confines people into mental prisons, from which they are almost not able to get out. Even in a one-party-system it is mentally easier to be "in the opposition", "against the system". In the two-party-system (which is in fact one-party-system as well), on the other hand, if the left is currently in the office and you are opposed to the system, it is automatically assumed that you are a "rightist", ie. supporter of the party of the right. And vice versa. Most people refuse to see that the two major parties are in fact one and the same party. Thus the liberal democracy, especially in its venomous two-party variety, is the most successful system of totalitarian manipulation ever invented. Each of the two parties usually has a very dedicated voting herd, needless to say." - "Marcus Marulus", Stirpes forum member |

The linguistic part of this dispute is not important, but it is important to make a difference between Lutherans and American Evangelicals. Lutherans are European and they retained Christian spirit in them. The same goes for, say, Hungarian and Slovak Calvinists...while the American Evangelicals have nothing to do with Europe and European culture and traditions and are alien to Europe as much as Islam and Judaism are.

I have the feeling that a very few people understand it more like a philosophy of life which it is probably not intended to crash with any religious belief and that it might even be compatible to a certain extent.

I wouldn’t tolerate the Russian Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church for their disgusting habit to collaborate with our foes. Their activity on the territory of Belarus should be officially forbidden.
Orthodox Christians should belong to the Belarusian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, and for all Catholic Christians the Belarusian Greek-Catholic Church is more than enough (the difference between the Roman and Greek Churches is not significant, so this would be more a symbolic act). By the way, Greek-Catholic priests are allowed to get married and to have children. As many as they want.
