Rich people act weird, because the human mind is not
adapted to being so well-off. We're a species of hunter-gatherers who
are always in motion, always struggling, not sitting on resources without a challenge.

Everything other than that is some sort of sublimation, an attempt,
something which might fail. If our species is lucky, the failure of civilization will just reset our species, if not, we'll drag the entire planet down with us.
And I thought I was just making a simple comment about how difficult it is on a personal level to genuinely think and, by extension, feel, at times. Cosmic catastrophes, egads!

You know that nothing is as simple as it seems.

If you're up for some simplistic answers, try the Bible

Sometimes simple answers suffice.

Nor quite so convoluted as you tend to make it.

Actually, Awar, though I am not a believer myself, I can tell you from years of study that the Bible is anything but "simplistic."

Not convoluted, just requires a lot to be understood,
more than just a few definitions, slogans and concepts which are
adopted through repetition.

The answers, like heaven and hell are simplistic.
Any scripture is convoluted, so it can be an esotheric system by itself,
studied and known by the clergy, and respected by the common man.

But, the answers to the common man are simplistic. Guidelines to obey,
or eternal suffering awaits etc. etc.
