something which might fail. If our species is lucky, the failure of civilization will just reset our species, if not, we'll drag the entire planet down with us.

And I thought I was just making a simple comment about how difficult it is on a personal level to genuinely think and, by extension, feel, at times. Cosmic catastrophes, egads!

Actually, Awar, though I am not a believer myself, I can tell you from years of study that the Bible is anything but "simplistic."

Not convoluted, just requires a lot to be understood,
more than just a few definitions, slogans and concepts which are
adopted through repetition.

Actually, Awar, though I am not a believer myself, I can tell you from years of study that the Bible is anything but "simplistic."

The answers, like heaven and hell are simplistic.
Any scripture is convoluted, so it can be an esotheric system by itself,
studied and known by the clergy, and respected by the common man.

But, the answers to the common man are simplistic. Guidelines to obey,
or eternal suffering awaits etc. etc.
