No suprise with my results, especially with agnosticism coming in second. I pay more attention to Christian doctrines concerning social and political affairs rather than dabble endlessly in metaphysical issues.

You scored as Agnosticism.
You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe. Agnosticism 79% Paganism 79% Atheism 75% Buddhism 71% Satanism 71% Hinduism 63% Islam 33% Christianity 17% Judaism 4% |

But seriously, I think I may have just confused the pattern matching algorithm used by the test. For example, I said that one should not require "proof" to believe in God, but also that the world would be a better place without religion. Many of my ideas don't seem to correspond to the standard patterns that such tests rely on....As for Christianity per se, there are of course so many variations both in terms of doctrine and among believers themselves. I actually find myself supporting many values typically associated with an idealistic Christian outlook, particularly of the more traditional variety - but I must confess I have a basic problem on moral grounds with the notion that anyone must be tortured for any reason - especially on my account. And so on. But again, I'm quick to defend persons of high moral fiber and character whatever their personal religious beliefs, especially when we are confonted on all sides by an onslaught of relativistic, selfish and destructive alternatives. |

At the risk of further deviating from the topic of this thread, I will mention three names that have meant much to me in this context: Muhyiddin Ibn al-'Arabi, Jalaluddin Rumi, and Muhammad Iqbal - all of whom, at least to me, are far more similar to Jacob Böhme, Friedrich Schleiermacher and G.W.F. Hegel than they are to any of the pillars of Islamic orthodoxy. |

Link http://quizfarm.com/test.php?q_id=10907&first=yes You scored as atheism. You are... an atheist, though you probably already knew this. Also, you probably have several people praying daily for your soul. Instead of simply being "nonreligious," atheists strongly believe in the lack of existence of a higher being, or God. atheism - 100% Satanism - 96% Paganism - 75% Buddhism - 67 |
