It appears this issue is old anyways, but I guess I could throw in my opinion.
I think for "chatting" an IRC channel or maybe a group chat on MSN would be a better option.

It may look like a good idea, at first. But it is a source for headaches. I have a better thing in mind that I should try to implement this winter. More restricted, but also in theory more 'productive'.
