My favorite hat in summer is panama

The art of wearing panama hat.

Some panamas, and speacially strawhats, and seagrasshats, needs a sip of water now and then, then they last longer. Moisturizing it carefully under the shower may soften up the straws, so they not crack or breakes.

And when they do, after some seasons use, they often does, wooden glue is the thing to use. Also when it shows any cracks in the straws, wooden glue.

On extra hot days, it may be very comfortable to moist the hat before going out...
It it sof course stictcly forbidden to touch anybodys straw hat. If anybody touches my hat, I smack them, sometimes in the face. That could be an issue in younger days, but not now.

I consider it an offense and a violation to touch others hat when on.

Most of the times I use a beret, my favorite:

I smoke pipe too... very old-fashined for a 20 years guy.

And nowadays I'm usying a wool hat, like this one:

It's quite strange to see a long haired guy usying that thing... but I swear to ya'll that looks pretty nice in me (follow my advice, the girls like it).

Wearing hat and smoking pipe for a 20 years old guy promises good for the future...And thank for reminding me, so today I `ll go and buy myself a new panama...

Almost never wear a hat except maybe a baseball cap once or twice a year.

The Irish are one of the most ancient nations that I know of at this end of the world, and are from as mighty a race as the world ever brought forth.
For it is certain that Ireland hath had the use of letters very anciently and long before England; that they had letters anciently is nothing doubtful, for the Saxons of England are said to have their letters and learning, and learned men, from the Irish.

The renaissance began in Ireland seven hundred years before it was known in Italy. And Armagh, the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, was at one time the metropolis of civilisation.

Ireland can indeed lay claim to a great past; she can not only boast of having been the birthplace and abode of high culture in the fifth and sixth centuries . . . but also of having made strenous efforts in the seventh and up to the tenth century to spread her learning among the German and Romance peoples, thus forming the actual fountain of our present continental civilisation.

Not very often, but well, I do sometimes... Very seldom, though.

Sometimes something like this (just for the jest):

I also have a sombrero, but I don't use it very often as people tend to stare at me with a strange look in their faces...

Or eventually a baseball cap, as Milesbian, once or twice a year.

Go to that creepy place you know, I've posted a picture there.

By the way, I shall add that on formal occasions, when I'm outside and the sun is real strong, I also wear a panama, it's classy...

Yes, I know a couple of hair stylists (females, obviously ) who said that wearing a hat too often can make you bald.

Sounds a bit like an Old Wives Tale, but they seem to give it some credit.
Enough for me to refrain from hat-wearing

Ho ho, that must be partially true then, 'cause there's good sense in old wives tales.

The only time I wear a hat is when I'm shooting and need to be able to see, and I wear a helmet when racing (cars).

Behold my shooting hat!

Sometimes, mainly for protection. In winter I wear something along these lines:
http://www.villagehatshop.com/skully_pearls.html
http://www.villagehatshop.com/columb..._titanium.html
http://www.villagehatshop.com/big_apple_cap.html (much smaller though)

In summer some like these, or basecall caps:
