Well according to the UN convention, Articel ,which i do not remember, death penalty is agianst the human right convention, since the American did not find any biological weapon why should he judged in the American Court ? no doubt he might be the second reincarnation of Hitler howerver he diserve a fair hearing. Pleasee give Saddam the credict being a Arab, he was rather brave.

Here's an interesting quote from President John F. Kennedy's book Profiles in Courage. In Chapter 9, Kennedy salutes the courage of the American Senator William Taft, who spoke in October 1946 against the planned execution of eleven senior Nazis recently convicted at the Nuremberg Trials. This seems to be very similar to the debate on Saddam's execution by President George "Pontius Pilatus" Bush.

In fact I would like to see this event as exemplary what has to be done with these criminals now in rule here.

Saddam's execution is meant to serve as a warning to the whole world. What they are telling is: "Whoever does not unconditionally submit to our power, will end up like this."

This is obviously a controversial subject, Saddam did commit crimes but we have to point out that many others have done as bad or worse than him and still have avoided trial.
Any how whether one considers that he should have been hanged or not, he must be respected after death for he was amongst other things a nationalist. I just find this exibition discusting: A work titled Shark of David Cerrny was exhibited last year in Middelkerke (Belgium). In it appears a figure that represents a submerged Saddam Hussein, as if it he was a shark, in a fishbowl wih his hands and feet tied, and with a cord to the neck. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
