Default Is Democracy Dead?

What do you think? Is democracy dead in Europe? Will it be ever resurrected? Can we save the racial-cultural identity of Europe with democracy or do we need a strong central leadership?

Default Riferimento: Is Democracy Dead?

Politically I personally favour a Democratic system although ideally that would require a vast deal of basic education and political re-education to mitigate or eliminate the nefarious effects that arose from the Enlightenment and the French Revolution onwards. Moreover, National Constitutions should be modified to include Nationalist principles that effect the legal ordering of Society.

The problem I mostly see with the discussion on Democracy in Nationalist circles is the fact that Nationalists attack Democracy for its Liberal characteristics and not for its inherent Democratic nature. Personally I can see much positive in Democracy when stripped of its Liberal connotations.

My major bone of contention with Democracy is the fact that due to the ignorance, lack of common sense, self-interest, lack of respect for traditional values and lack of rationality, the electorate is seldom the least appropriate force to decide its own destiny. To close I assert that sometimes it is better to be lead with discipline and a defined mission than having mere representatives that should theoretically follow your own will and pamper you as an elector.

Democracy works when the level of education and the access to true information are decent. Unfortunately, today in Europe we may have the former but not the latter. The mainstream media continually pushes an agenda and rarely presents alternatives. As we saw in the case of Pera, when someone in an established positions, decides to make a bold move to reaffirm some known truths, the liberals and their media machine immediately attacks the person involved in a ruthless way.

This is an interesting point. I think that certain central principles such as a commitment to folk and nationalism should be ingrained within the structure of a society. But does that not perhaps stand against democracy?

I quite like the idea of a strong central leadership, with an influential council. A democratic-monarchy. This was a form of government that my Anglo-Saxon ancestors practised. Without the Norman conquest who knows how this might have evolved.

Not a democracy that is in fact ethnocratic and nationalist. Being the latter two does not necessitate abandoning the former principle. One important question is the reassessment and reformation of the democratic system along nationalist lines which are detached from the liberal conception related to democracy which should rather be appropriately termed liberal democracy.

I'm not invoking any type of particular system at this moment as I am not decided 100%. I would favour a democratic system within a republican and corportavist structure. The latter is in fact one of the initial long-term goals of the movement I am a member-founder of, named Alleanza Nazzjonali Repubblikana (English translation: Republican National Alliance, but we never use an English translation for our name, that is just for your personal interest).
