For one thing, what Gonzalvus has said is right. And it brings the ideal of Reconquista to a whole new level: that of recovering ourselves first. That is where the ideal of the Reconquista should be directed.
The other thing to consider is that the circumstances in Europe today are not similar to what they were in Spain then.
Today we have millions of Muslims in Europe of foreign extraction, apart from other peoples. The Muslims of Al-Andalus were, for their most part, Spanish converted to Islam: the Muwahladun.

Yes, for me the
Reconquista is exclusively an inner battle. We cannot defeat our enemies if we do not defeat ourselves in the first place. This may sound c
liche but I see no other way to describe our situation.
To me, the slogan "Fight for your fatherland!" is totally empty today. In ancient times, "fatherland" was a concept that embodied certain values which I consider eternal --when someone was fighting for his fatherland, he was actually fighting for his tradition, for his people, for respect and obedience to an elite, because of his will to destroy the enemy and out of fidelity to his God(s). We have lost all this values, and the word "fatherland" has become an empty concept which the politicians use to manipulate us.
The same can be applied to the term "nation". What is my nation? The people who share my ethnicity, traditions, religion, etc. And who are this people today, generally speaking? A bunch of sad, weak losers easily manipulated by a corrupt elite. Does it make sense to indentify myself with them? No. At least not as a starting-point. We are absolutely alone in this quest, and we can rely only in the words of our forefathers: they were safe from the corruption and decadence that infests our world today, their words were pure and wise, unlike those of politicians an (most) thinkers of the present day.
Following this, we should first seek inside ourselves and reconquer all the above-mentioned values, and then start to care about external matters. As we use to say in Spain: "You cannot build a house starting by the roof".
