Shaved heads are no longer the identifying sign of the right-wing scene

In a conversation with DW-WORLD, Matthias Adrian discussed how skinheads are changing their image and how increasing numbers of youth, even those without far-right philosophies, are attending right-wing concerts.

According to Germany's Office for the Protection of the Constitution, throngs of youth people are still joining the German neo-Nazi scene. Matthias Adrian was a member of the far-right NPD party's youth organization from 1997 to 2000 and organized neo-Nazi marches in Hesse. Today, he is involved in the Berlin-based EXIT initiative, which helps people leave the right-wing scene.

Most Russians skinheads (that dress like stereotypical skinheads) are wannabe Russians, usually swarthy looking, of very short stature (must be half-Tatars or something like that). I just saw two of them today.
Most extreme right-wing Russian guys I know, prefer to dress military-style or just casual clothes.

Svin - If you look at all the guys from Temnozor, Forest/Branikald, M8l8th and the whole Russian scene, the guys look comletely normal. The most you'll find are camo pants and maybe a few shaved heads here and there. BTW. You think most Russian skinheads are swarthy looking? In the November 2005 Nationalist marches and all the pictures my Russian comrade sends me, they look totally Aryan.

Nah, I say that usually stereotypical ns-skinheads that I meet on the street are suspiciously swarthy looking. Some of them have patches with Russian flag on their jackets, it's looking like they are trying to compensate their swarthy non-Russian look with this imaginery. But that's because normal skinheads don't use this style anymore, not because ALL skinheads are swarthy & non-Russian. Also, it's not like there are many of such swarthoids on the streets, there are just some guys that I see regularly in my neighbourhood. Today I saw one of them, very short statured mongoloid skinhead with Russian patch on his jacket; I really wanted to make photo of him, but it's a pity, I gave my digital camera to my friend, who is in Tyumen now.
