Court puts Mussolini in election
Tuesday, March 22, 2005 Posted: 2:16 PM EST (1916 GMT) ROME, Italy (Reuters) -- Alessandra Mussolini, the granddaughter of wartime dictator Benito Mussolini, will be allowed to stand in local elections in April after a court on Tuesday reversed a ban on her for allegedly forging signatures. The decision is a potential blow to the coalition of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi as she could split the center-right vote at the key regional polls on April 3-4. Mussolini, head of the far-right Social Alternative party, will stand for the leadership of the Lazio region of which Rome is the capital. She was initially banned from the poll after an electoral committee ruled that a petition supporting her candidacy contained hundreds of false signatures. The ruling by a second appeals court poses a threat to the incumbent Lazio president, Francesco Storace, a member of the National Alliance (AN), a right-wing government party which broke with fascism during the 1990s. In its bid to gain legitimacy as a mainstream conservative party, the AN denounced Benito Mussolini, leading to Alessandra quitting the party in 2003 and forming her own

I am wondering....what is her and the position of you supporting her on Croatia? I've heard many things I don't like before....like claims on Istria and Dalmatia, etc...

I just looked online and found the following: "However, National Alliance leaders have often referred to territories like Istria and Dalmatia - now parts of Croatia and Slovenia - as "rightfully Italian". " http://216.109.117.135/search/cache?...icp=1&.intl=us

Interesting....well I know I definately don't like it. Istria and Dalmatia are Croatian territories, were such for very long times and especially in Dalmatia Croats were by far majority to any other minority. Istria had a bit more balanced population with still Croats being the biggest population pool there. So I don't know based on what Istria and Dalmatia are "rightfully Italian"...
