Neo-Nazis upstaged at protest

MORE than 6,000 people staged a counter-protest today as about 150 neo-Nazi protesters marched in memory of the 60th anniversary of the Allied bombings.
About 50 organisations marched under the slogan, All colours but brown, in reference to the Nazi brown shirts, as the neo-Nazi National Democratic party (NPD) marked the March 16, 1945 bombardment of this small Bavarian town by allied forces during World War II. No incidents were reported.

"The NPD slogan of 'Never forgive, never forget' is ridiculous," said Josef Schuster, a member of the local Jewish community.

"We will never forget what was done in Germany and around Europe by the criminals they are honouring," he said.

He probably is speaking of the killed civillians that were honoured with this march.

Tell me something. Ever since I saw the reaction to the Bruce Willis movie "Die Hard", I noticed how truly afraid people are of big German men. Why is this? Now the German government seems terrified of it own people, especially those with enough testosterone to march in the streets. This, even though they are commerating actions taken by non-Europeans (Americans) or people who only sometimes consider themselves European (British) and these actions which are the subject and issue are actions which probably nobody in modern Germany would stand up to defend or justify.

Why not tell those opposed to recognition of these crimes that they are either "with us" or against us and if the latter, they should justify THEIR position. Then call them Un-German or something like this in the words of your language.

I can´t remember big German men in Die Hard.

The rabble over here is somehow convinced by the media that "we deserved it for starting the war". Calling someone undeutsch wouldn´t hurt much. Let´s hope the economic situation here worsens even more. Maybe they will drop that sheep-attitude when they have to eat bork and moss.
