Re: International election watchdogs slam Russian polls
Putin probably isn't good (as svin said), but those who would like to replace him, with the help of the international "observers" and NGOs, are probably ten times worse.
Speaking of "democracy", this whole measuring up "democraticality" of different countries is a moronic bullshit. Actually, they never said what this ideal democracy would be and how would it look like. In reality, the "level of democracy" in some country is the way the newspeak of the West denotes those politicians and governments that are to the liking of the Western power elites. Whoever follows the guidlelines commanded by Washington and Brussels and has a puppet government, is considered "democratic". Whoever doesn't, he is "undemocratic". It is as simple as that.
I know it from the example of my own country: as long as it had a government that the West did not like, it was considered undemocratic (and different kinds of pressure exerted thereupon). As soon as the government changed and the darling parties of the West came to power, suddenly it came to be considered as "democratic", although nothing of real substance changed.
