Default Great Russians (Middle Volga - the Urals)

Examples of dolichocephalic, mesocephalic and brachycephalic types of Great Russians from NE Russia and Middle Volga by Krasnov.

1st row- dolichocephals
2nd row - mesocephals
3rd row - brachycephals

Strikes that most Brachicephals are also round faced (No Taurid-Dinarics etc)

The Mesocephals are also the most heterogeneus morphologically. #7 and #8 share a few similarities (nose, face outline)
#6 reminds of the brachycephals below, as much as #9 and #10 remind of the longheads above.

Do you think that this Mesocephalic sample could be the result of the intermixture of the two extremes, or can anybody identify or isolate any special sub-type? (mainly for #7 and #8)
thanx

How do you classify #15? Is he really an ethnic Russian?

I can add that most of Krasnov sample come from Saratov, Kazan and Simbirsk governments (between Middle Volga and the Urals), and also Astrakhan government (Lower Volga), so it's mostly Volga and Ural Russians, from colonized territories.

Average CI is 80.

Krasnov says also that blondism is correlated with lower CI.

The only typical Eastnordid without any other influences seems to be number 2 to me, 3, 4 more or less, 5 only in profile.

N7 is not much different from N3, except the nose.

Well, they come from Kazan and Ufa and Saratov (on Volga, near Saratov) and represent the Volga-Ural region - thus they're of the Volga-Kama (designated as Uralic on the map), White Lake-Kama, CEE, Valdaic and Steppe types. Mostly Kama, CEE and Valdaic (Baltic)

In other words, that's the types of eastern periphery of the Great Russian anthropological zone.
