Default Subrace Taxonomy for Celts

What term would best describe the inhabitants of Celtic nations, specifically the Irish and Scots, going by John R. Baker's taxonomy system of alpinid, nordid, etc?

Thanks for the help. I am trying to work out how to properly classify myself ethnically, as I am both English and Celtic.

I don't think the people of Ireland and Scotland are really celts. I think they are actually their own people. They speak Celtic languages, but that's only because a small group of people speaking Celtic languages conquered those areas thousands of years ago. I believe the population is genetically similar to the people who preceded the Celts.

The fact that the majority of the populations are genetically similar to those peoples who inhabited Ireland and Scotland prior to the Celtic migrations, doesn't mean that they are any less Celtic, as Celtic is just an meta-cultural and meta-linguistic term.

There is also some debate as to whether or not the migrating Celts did "conquer" the original populace. I don't think the spread of Celtic langauge and culture in Ireland and Scotland can be placed down to one factor.
