Default need info

I have always noticed that sometimes we come across people we have an instant liking to or instant aversion....as if we are enemies but don't really know why. My friend has noticed this, too, happen in her life and with her husband. Besides all the spiritual opinions, does anyone have any hypothesis regarding dna somehow knowing we are descendants of warring tribes? I have always wondered if that could be true. When people, ususally women, feel that way about me(I am a woman) they usually look the same-they have this particular body build and facial type...like they are all from the same clan or something. Any thoughts? Far-fetched?

Many of our family friend's here have turned out to have surnames which traditionally were allied families and clans of my own.
Is there perhaps something in that? Bonds of friendship stretching back across generations? Or is it just that a lot of people from the same area ended up emigrating and settling in the same locality?

Who knows?

- Edmund Curtis (A History of Ireland: From Earliest Times to 1922)

The Irish are one of the most ancient nations that I know of at this end of the world, and are from as mighty a race as the world ever brought forth.
For it is certain that Ireland hath had the use of letters very anciently and long before England; that they had letters anciently is nothing doubtful, for the Saxons of England are said to have their letters and learning, and learned men, from the Irish.
- Edmund Spenser (writer, and British Government Official in Ireland, AD 1596).

The renaissance began in Ireland seven hundred years before it was known in Italy. And Armagh, the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, was at one time the metropolis of civilisation.
- Arsene Darmesteter, Professor of Old French and Literature

Ireland can indeed lay claim to a great past; she can not only boast of having been the birthplace and abode of high culture in the fifth and sixth centuries . . . but also of having made strenous efforts in the seventh and up to the tenth century to spread her learning among the German and Romance peoples, thus forming the actual fountain of our present continental civilisation.

Do you mean a bond we would have with similar looking people? Why else would you post your question in the Anthropometrics section?

I was having problms with posting where i wanted to... so i put it there. It's beyond looks. it's almost like a dna kind of thing. maybe descendants of tribes, either warring or allied, still "regognize" each other in their dna, over all these years. These tribes were either marrying with each other or warring with, so maybe, the genetic memeory is there. Just a wild thought.
