No. There are various nations and regions with a Nordid predominance. The difference is just that you won't find as much typical Nordids in most other nations - which means the Nordid part might be in some parts of Europe 60 percent, but being often mixed with f.e. Dinarid, Mediterranid or Alpinid, therefore even though the majority is Nordid, you won't find typical and relatively "unmixed" individuals that often.

There is none. But Iceland, Norway, Danes and Dutch have very high percentages too, the 2nd place should be more disputed than the first. Highest percentage if going after a region is Eastern Norway and bordering Western Sweden. Norway is mainly because of the South West (more Dalofaelid, Borreby-Alpinoid - overall Cromagnoid) and North (Lappoid, again Cromagnoid) less Skandonordid. The South East, Central-East is a Skandonordid centre as is South Western and Central-Western Sweden.

I know Sweden very well and yes, there are som Nordid looking people in Sweden but you'd be surprised to see the large number of not so nordid looking Swedish people.

Sweden certainly has loads of Nordids, whom overwhelming majority of 30's anthropologists would've classified as Nordid! Coon with his "confused systematics" was a bit weird bird.

Based on my observations and anthromaps, I could however concur with the man on this (only geographical distribution part, not the "depigmented med" bollocks)

The core area's are Norway, Denmark, Sweden, peripherical area's Netherland, Germany, England, Finland, (maybe Russia as well) and Anglo-colonies.


debating about this is really nonsense, how would be define Nordid? Metrical data from Sweden ( and Italy) as well shows it to be overwhelmingly mesocephalic and meso facial. What's a "pure" Nordid then, if the mean is blond Northern European with facial index, let say, 88. Is Max- von Sydow more Nordid with F.I of 110 than a guy with 85? After the all broader guys is only 3 points of the mean as opposed to Max's 22. It's all about arbitrary man made definitions.

There are various regions with a Nordid predominance, but its about genes and influences too, since you have to a count a Nordid-Alpinid individual still as a 1/2 Nordid. Counting that way, almost all of Germanic Scandinavia is for sure pred. Nordid. You can't begin to count only classic and "pure" Nordids alone by denying all the mixed or somewhat deviating variants. Those must be counted too, just not as full Nordid.

F.e. 2 typical Nordid and 8 Nordid-Alpinid mixed (50:50) = Nordid majority obviously (6 N : 4 B).
