On the article about Göring\'s suicide that you posted earlier, there was a link where it said that after Hitler's death Göring planned to announce himself as the new strong man of the III Reich.

It would have been interesting to see him as Germany's new leader. I sense that he could have been a right person for that post, not Hitler.

More seriously. My Honor is called Fidelity. Didn't he miss the last virtue at the very end? I prefer the Doctor; at least, he stood with Hitler to the end.

More seriously, Göring was a man from an elite education background. Hitler instead was a self-made man, which could be compared to the nouveau riches in societies. These are lured more easily by the defects and delusions derived from power.

There are places to fit both types in a system.
