Default Riferimento: Battle of Nicopolis, 25 September 1396

I had heard that Giorgio Castriota Skanderbeg was someway related to Calabria Greeks. In fact, at that time, Calabria was still a mainly Greek speaking land. After his death, many followers of his fled to Calabria, Puglia, Lucania and Sicilia, where now still form a sizeable community (Arbėrishtė) of 100.000 people with two Orthodox Diocesis.
