There is something about your chin which is identical to that of a friend of mine who is British by nationality but mixed Slav by blood. She was visiting an orthodontist and saying she wished she had a more prominent chin (I think she has a lovely chin myself) and the orthodontist who has worked all over the world said that in Slavic countries and some other countries in Eastern Europe, the mandible and maxilla bones of the jaw tend to be quite underdeveloped and short, particularly in girls but also in boys/men. Whereas in Scandinavian countries, as well as the more Western parts of Europe, it is a lot less common.
Sorry, not much of a classification. Just thought I'd say, I found it interesting and since she told me I've noticed it a lot in pictures.
That's very interesting. I think you are right. It must have to do with nutritional deficiencies in Eastern European countries. However, you do sometimes see the same thing among Scandinavians. Do you have any pictures saved which clearly demonstrate this? Thanks
