| Literature Literature is literally an acquaintance with letters. The term has, however, generally come to identify a collection of texts. The word literature, as a common noun, can refer to any form of writing, such as essays; while Literature, the proper noun, refers to a whole body of literary work. |

May I also recommend “Scotland: A history of a Nation” by Chris Tabraham. A lovely illustrated basic guide to Scotland and her people, quite cheap for a great book!.

I might get a go at it.. after you give me a review. I found this other related book on amazon: The Scottish Nation: Identity and History - Essays in Honour of William Ferguson by Alexander Murdoch. The only book I have about the History of Scotland, is Scotland\'s Story by Tom Steel. Which he wrote for a 24-part series for Scottish Television.

I just finished reading the first two books in the Harry Potter series. Quite frankly I am disappointed. Sure, good plots, interested story. But her writing is quite pathetic. In the book: Chamber of Secrets, the confrontation with Voldermort was just deplorable. Maybe seeing the movies had slightly got my hopes up, (Due to the fact books are almost always better than the movies), but Jesus Christ almighty. Maybe the fact I’ve seen the movies has drained any appreciation that I could have got from the books. So I’ll just hurry through until I get to the last two. Where I don’t realise what’s happening on the next page.

Quite honestly I've read all books in Harry Potter series. Maybe I've not grown up yet (hope I wouldn't, hehe). And I enjoyed most of them, except the first and the last book in series.
Now I'm reading Ernst Juenger WWII diaries "Strahlungen". It's of particular interest to me, because there is a part about Russia. ![]() |
