| Literature Literature is literally an acquaintance with letters. The term has, however, generally come to identify a collection of texts. The word literature, as a common noun, can refer to any form of writing, such as essays; while Literature, the proper noun, refers to a whole body of literary work. |

"The Devil's broke:Finding god, glory and fortune in 14 th century Italy"
this is a really interesting book about English mercenary Captain John Hawkwood and other famous mercenary companies from different European countries in Italy. It also gives an interesting and well detailed analysis about the way things worked in Italy during this time period, specially in the political spectrum.

Phone books...and Italo Calvino's Le città invisibili, Invisible Cities.
I just (this morning!) finished the most important paper of my school days, so for the next long time I will enjoy reading nothing by or about TS Eliot. He is still my favourite writer, though.
