I recall that the estimated Jewish population in Argentina was about 300,000. I don't remember the source/s, but between both figures there's a big gap.

It doesn't matter if they practice or not. To them it not only is their religion but their ethnicity, their 'race'.

It doesn't say, but you can safely assume that is only for Jews registered in official Jewish communities. Thus only a fraction of them.

I think it was stated on a number of occasions that Jewish population is virtually impossible to estimate and everything was done for the duration of many centuries to distort the real numbers. The dispersed character of the Diaspora being very valuable in this matter.
For reference see Douglas Reed's excellent monograph 'The Controversy of Zion'.

This nothwistanding, attempts are being made that seem like a far cry from real state of things and they continue to lull our vigilance on the subject. F.e. 275,000 for Russia looks like a good laugh to me. Only in Moscow I think there're more than a million of them!

Ha, ha, I think so, in my country is the same and most of them are descend of russian jews.

P.S.: what about Khazars? russian jews consider them like true jews?
