Does anyone have photos of Portuguese and Spanish Jews (Marranos)? They were intermarrying for centuries, so I guess they might have very specific look.

This is a 2001 Census of the Demography of Scotland. 88% Albannaich I must say is quite nice. Now I got it linked from a site that liked to advertise of the Scottish Jewish populations to be quite strong culturally etc but looking at this census seems to tell us they don’t appear to be, or they’re blending into the “White” categories, so I wonder what is the correct Jewish populations in other countries.

Here's an American Supreme Court Justice from a Portuguese Sephardic New York family, Benjamin Cardozo.



To me at least the Sephardic Jews look far more like they could be natives of Palestine than do the Polish or Russian Jews. Perhaps that adds some weight to the Khazar theory.

I am trying to think of the most reliable method for counting the Jewish population of various countries. Using the national census of countries would be one way, assuming that they report religion. Also in nations where people register their religion with the state.
