Two Christian preachers were stopped from handing out Bible extracts by police because they were in a Muslim area, it was claimed yesterday.
They say they were told by a Muslim police community support officer that they could not preach there and that attempting to convert Muslims to Christianity was a hate crime.

It was Christian area before they moved there. So people don't think that segregation of areas is bad idea?

I knew what "hate crime" would be about. I wonder when (and if) those gentiles who defend it are going to wake up.

The community officer is also said to have told the two men: 'You have been warned. If you come back here and get beat up, well, you have been warned.'

... and that would not be hate crime, but affirmative action.

Maybe they were Evangelicals trying to convert Muslims to their version of Christianity? I heard they have been targeting "minority" groups living in Europe (of non-European extraction, that is) for the last ten years or something.

I don't want Muslims to be converted. But would you support the policy of hate crime just to mock Evangelicals? You would cut your own limbs off.

I wasn't attacking the Evangelicals in this particular case, just conjecturing what they might have been doing there, without any attitude, postive or negative, about that.

The hate crime legislation of any sorts is not to be supported, I have no doubts about that. It is contrary to basic common sense.

Maybe.
Yet it does not grant them with rights to apply laws of his own in a parcel of an European country (or of any other foreign country outside their's) and make that parcel as if it was of theirs'.

I think that is usually called "sovereignity"

It appears that national soveignity today is under twofold attack: on one side from the international and/or supra-national organizations (UN, NATO, EU etc), on the other side from self-proclaimed autonomous communities of people of different ethnic extraction living within national states themselves, like in this case.
