Hi all!
![]() I hope you don't mind Mynydd... I created a new account. I don't know why my email wouldn't have worked for you before, because it's still working for me. ![]() Oh well, for those who don't know me already, here's my introducation... ...I'm an annoying Australian who bears an uncanny resemblance to this fine creature I've been told ...![]() I am an ethnic nationalist, a feminist on occasion, and I was a raging Nordicist until very recently when I was told by the formidable anthro team that is OneEnglishNorman and Amorsite that I am actually Bruenn and not a Nordid at all.... so of course, I am now a raging Bruennist (it helps to be versatile).... which means that if you've got anything bad to say about Bruenns you will have me to deal with (gggrrrrr and other such savageries). Of course, I reserve the right to change my "ist" status at any time, depending on my mood.... and as a woman, my mood changes about every....hmmmm.... 10 minutes. Maybe 15 if I'm having a particularly stable day. Thank you for reading!! ![]() |

Welcome to forum, it's always nice to see new members here, even though I don't agree with them.

![]() Not to worry. In my experience the most common types addicted to Nordicism are, roughly on this order, Alpines, Borrebies and Bruenns. Then come others such as Armenians, Nordics, Albanians, etc. Some exotic raving types include Turanic midgets. E.g., Nordicist forum Skadi (the forerunner of The Al-Thing) primigenial co-ownership was one Alpine and one Bruenn (in denial, she still insists in that she is Trønder ).Quote:

For the record, I merged your Bridie account into BridieM. I like more the sound of BridieM that reminds me of good ol' BoneyM

The traditions of the Irish people are the oldest of any race in Europe north and west of the Alps, and they themselves are the longest settled on their own soil - Edmund Curtis (A History of Ireland: From Earliest Times to 1922) The Irish are one of the most ancient nations that I know of at this end of the world, and are from as mighty a race as the world ever brought forth. For it is certain that Ireland hath had the use of letters very anciently and long before England; that they had letters anciently is nothing doubtful, for the Saxons of England are said to have their letters and learning, and learned men, from the Irish. - Edmund Spenser (writer, and British Government Official in Ireland, AD 1596). The renaissance began in Ireland seven hundred years before it was known in Italy. And Armagh, the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, was at one time the metropolis of civilisation. - Arsene Darmesteter, Professor of Old French and Literature Ireland can indeed lay claim to a great past; she can not only boast of having been the birthplace and abode of high culture in the fifth and sixth centuries . . . but also of having made strenous efforts in the seventh and up to the tenth century to spread her learning among the German and Romance peoples, thus forming the actual fountain of our present continental civilisation. - Heinrich Zimmer, Professor of Celtic and Sanskrit, Member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences |

I define it as it is defined by majority of people. Of course, we can say "it could have meant this or that also", but not really in this thread, since BridieM would have probably already pointed out if her definition was different from the oficial one.
